Project Spotlight: Building the Foundation for In-N-Out Burger, Buckeye AZ

At Mangat Construction, we take pride in being the “first on the ground” to ensure a project’s long-term success. We recently completed a comprehensive, start-to-finish site development project for the new In-N-Out Burger in Buckeye, Arizona.

When a brand as iconic as In-N-Out expands, the infrastructure must be precise, durable, and built to handle high capacity. Our team was responsible for the entire civil and underground scope, ensuring the site was perfectly prepared from the dirt up.

Full-Scale Earthwork & Site Prep

The project began with intensive Earthwork. Our crews managed the over-excavation of the pad envelope and precision grading of the entire site. By establishing a stabilized and perfectly leveled foundation, we ensured the structural integrity of the building and surrounding paved areas.

Comprehensive Underground Utilities

A high-volume restaurant requires robust utility systems. Mangat Construction managed the complete installation of:

• Sanitary Sewer: Mainline trenching and service connections.
• Water Systems: Domestic water lines, service lines, and irrigation systems.
• Fire Protection: Installation of the fire line and strategic placement of fire hydrants to meet safety codes.
• Grease Management: Expert installation of the grease interceptor (grease trap), a critical component for large-scale food service operations.

Advanced Stormwater Solutions

Arizona’s weather requires smart water management. To handle drainage for the Buckeye site, we installed:

• Storm Drain Systems: Including culverts and catch basins.
• Retention Tanks: We installed specialized underground storm drain tanks to manage runoff efficiently without sacrificing surface parking space.
